Finance Committee

I spent last Friday and Saturday with a couple of my fellow senators and at large members of the student population evaluating budget requests for the 2009-10 school year. The budget, roughly $750,000 is funded by student activity fees of $80 per semester. Some funded account fared better than others but overall it was a smooth couple of days and I have come away with an in-depth understanding of campus activities.

Having participated in the committee for the last two years I was able to evaluate the organizations more closely with special attention paid to the leadership teams. Without a doubt the groups that put in a substantial effort throughout the year and in their presentations were the most impressive.
