Don Spotlight: Men’s and Women’s Golf

New men’s basketball coach, Rex Walters, has recruited some strong talent to pair with perennial first teamer Dior Lowhorn. However, both the men’s and women’s golf teams have posted great seasons.
The men’s team captured their first WCC title since 1990 with the help of Senior Kurt Nino (pictured above) and Junior Domingo Jojola and will host an NCAA regional in three weeks. Meanwhile the women’s team, led by Junior Danielle Cvitanov, finished 2nd in league and is ranked 28th in the country.
If you have any members of the teams in your classes be sure to congratulate them.
Finally, a shout out to my friend and fellow Honors Cohort member, Jenni Heisner, who was named WCC Tennis player of the year for the 2nd time in a row.
